Land Surveying Technician

Cache Landmark is a civil engineering and land surveying firm based in Logan, Utah. We specialize in a wide variety of municipal and private engineering in Northern Utah and Southern Idaho.

Cache Landmark currently has an exciting opportunity for a Land Survey Technician. Reporting to the Principal Engineers, this position is located in Logan, Utah. If you have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong technical fundamentals, and thrive on challenges in a fast-paced environment, this is the opportunity for you.

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Collect field data for topographic and boundary surveys

  • Perform construction staking

  • Utilize CAD to generate maps and perform calculations

  • Generate boundary, topographic and utility maps

  • Generate cost estimates for prospective projects

  • Organize and maintain equipment

  • Ability to work well with others

  • Operate various types of surveying equipment

  • Perform various miscellaneous maintenance tasks around the office.​

Requirements & Qualifications 

​

  • Ability to work in all types of weather

  • Able to read plans and do calculations to perform construction staking

  • Technologically savvy

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Autodesk Civil 3D is a plus

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Thorough understanding of Geometry.

  • 2 years of field experience preferred. 

  • AutoCAD: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Surveyor License (Preferred)

  • Driver's License (Required)

  • Job Type: Full-time

  • Monday to Friday
